A Thank You (ft. Voldemort)

I'm sure you've noticed that this month has been pretty sparse with posting. It's been busy and I've been home a lot less than I normally am but for the most part, the reason for my absence has mostly just been an emotional thing.

Look, don't get me wrong. I love blogging and reading and talking about books with every corner of my heart, but sometimes I just don't feel like it. And sometimes it has nothing to do with blogging at all and I just don't feel like doing anything but sleeping and sleeping and did I mention sleeping.

But then, do you know that feeling where you're just so miserable and hug-deprived that you have to reach for a book? That moment when you start a book and can just forget about everything else that's going on in your head? That's why I read. And I'm sure there are tons of bloggers that feel the exact same way and that's why I blog. I love that I can talk about books that I love and books that I hate, tweet about politics and my obsession with Aussie accents and even make whiny, rambling posts like this. I have never ever ever been part of a community that is so generous and kind and supportive. A lot of drama happens maybe but I can honestly say that there has never been a moment where I've completely forgotten the amazing parts of this world.

I hope you know that whenever I'm having a bad day, the thought of people actually reading this blog makes me smile. I hope you know that every time I read a comment* from one of you, it brightens my day. Thank you for sticking with me and letting me into your head a little bit as well.

A special note to commenters: I can't even say how much it means to me... You guys are amongst the smartest, funniest people I know. Thank you for being my friends :)

  4. Hahaha, every post with Harry Potter is a great post <3 I feel exactly that way. Reading, so you can be absorbed into this whole other world with fantastic characters ^^ and talking about it with these amazing bloggers like you is great! *gives a Snape hug*

  5. Absolutely, I love this community. =) I don't always feel like blogging either, but I try to stay up to date, just to keep up with everyone and still be a part of it.

Thanks for the hug... I think... =b

  6. Ha! Watching the creepy Voldemort hug absolutely just made my day.

And yes! Aussie accents are wizard. A British version is at the top of my wishlist, but I'd take that too.

Hopefully you're enjoying your semi-break! Sometimes it's good to just put everything on pause...

  7. I think we all get how you feel, hun! Don't stress, you can blog whenever you feel like it, you never want it to feel like a chore :)

And I'm glad you like our accents :D

  8. Is it completely twisted of me to want to experience an awkward Voldemort hug? ;) I want to find out just how uncomfortable it is!

Aww Sonia, I'm sure every blogger understands what it's like to not want to blog from time to time. I actually have to give myself 'blog holidays' so I don't get too overwhelmed by it all. Don't stress yourself out in the meantime... I hope you have a relaxing break. :)

  9. SONIA. This is EXACTLY how I'm feeling at the moment, so I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. Lack of time is cutting into my reading/blogging, but when I DO have the time I just... as you said, don't feel like. And then I want to draw a bright red heart around all the parts where you say beautifullysquishywarm things about the blogosphere. I LOVE this community like crazy.

Those awesome Aussies DO have rather sexy accents, don't they? Along with the Canadians. They should get together one weekend and have a Canoe party <3

Also: VOLDY HUGS. You know the way to make a death-eater-in-training feel special <3

    Also x2: I LOVE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!

    1. I'm not entirely sure why there are crazy huge gaps between words at the end, but I'm guessing it's because you're so amazing and blogger wanted to draw out the I LOVE YOU declaration?

SONIA. YES YES YES. TO EVERYTHNG. ALL THE THINGS!

"Look, don't get me wrong. I love blogging and reading and talking about books with every corner of my heart, but sometimes I just don't feel like it."

OOOOH, yes. And unfortunately, with blogging, the pressure to stay on top of that can be a bit overwhelming, and fun-sucking. I LIKE it. But... you know? Yeah. You know :D

AMAZERING POST. AND AND AND *hugs* *doesn't let go for a little bit too long* *giggles at your discomfort*
