In My Mailbox (3)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren which gives bloggers a chance to share the books, swag, etc. that they've received each week.

So, not many books this week but on the bright side, the postal strike is over!

Abandon by Meg Cabot is from the library (the only one this week!). I have been dying to read this book for so long so I can't wait to get started.

The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle (thanks to NetGalley and HarperTeen) sounds like just my kind of book. I probably won't get to it until closer to the release date (September 6th) but I'm excited to have it anyways!

The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegen (thanks to NetGalley and Egmont) is another one that sounds really good. I haven't heard too much about it but the little that I have sounds great.

Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow - Thanks so much to Lindsay from Me on Books for sending me this one. I love the tagline :) It sounds awesome.

Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison (thanks again to NetGalley and Egmont) sounds fantastic. I love modern day retellings and I've always liked the story of Tristan & Isolde. Just a heads up that if you wanted this one, it's read-now on NetGalley, meaning that you don't even have to request it.

Sorry for the blog silence these past couple of days (or maybe you didn't notice?). In addition to being sick and taking lots of naps and quick visits to the garbage can, I've been working on some exciting stuff that you'll get to see later this month :)

That's all from me. What did you get in your mailbox?

  1. Awesome books!! I am so tempted to grab Tris and Izzie off NetGalley, but I know I won't get around to finishing it. Curse my non-existant ereader! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on these, enjoy :)

  2. oh my gosh! The covers on all these books are beautiful. I've wanted to read The Beginning of After and Tris and Izzie since I first laid eyes on them. But I don't know how to go about that without an e reader. (and I can't buy stuff because I'm in the middle of moving)

Abandon was ok. I liked it. Some hate it. I'd love to know what you think :)

  3. Brodie: I know, I should really stop with all of these books.. I hope I can finish them all in time.

Trish: I don't have an ereader either! I just downloaded the Adobe Reader and I read them straight from my computer. Hopefully I like it!

Ashley: YAY! I'm so excited to read it.

  4. Great books this week. I really enjoyed Abandon and The Beginning Of After. Happy reading!

  5. A lot of awesome books. Abandon was really interesting.

  6. You got some awesome books from NetGalley. I think The Beginning of After looks like a strong, touching read and I've read some really good reviews of it. Hope you enjoy all your books!

  13. Katie: Thanks! :) You too.

Sarah: It's always nice to hear when people like a book, especially when others didn't. I'm glad the majority of you seemed to have enjoyed it! Fingers crossed.

Amber: Yeah, Net Galley has been awesome this past week! I should probably slow down...

    Crys: Yay! Happy reading.

Liz: I actually remember that from your review of the latest in the series! Good :) I like my MCs fierce.

Crystal: Did everyone just dive at those 2? Haha, can't say I blame anyone.

Sally: Fabulous, glad to hear you liked it! :) I hope you enjoy T&I too.

    Kristin: Very nice! Thanks :)

  14. What would we all do without the library and NetGalley? :). I'm interested in reading Tris & Izzie. All the books sound good though. Happy reading! (my IMM)

  15. WE WOULD ALL PERISH, THAT IS WHAT. Or, I would, at the very least.

    Thanks, you too! :)

  16. Yay for the end of the strike!! I've heard mixed things about Abandon, so will be interested to see what you think of it. The cover for The Beginning of After is gorgeous and it sounds like an emotionally powerful read.

  17. I'm really looking forward to Tris and Izzie!
